TN - 1st Womens' Series Event in Chattanooga
In March, women all across the world will unite in celebration of National Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day (March 8, 2015).
Since 1911, International Women’s Day has celebrated women’s achievements while calling for greater equality. With this year’s theme, MAKE IT HAPPEN, women across all industries are encouraged to present effective action for advancing and recognizing women.
With the 35th anniversary of the Women’s History Movement and the National Women’s History Project, this year’s National Women’s History month presents the opportunity to weave women’s stories- individually and collectively- into the essential fabric of our nation’s history; providing the opportunity to exchange the stories of women’s lives and upend social assumptions about what women can accomplish today.
To honor these remarkable themes, we invite you to join us as we mark the economic, political and social achievements of women from around the world at the 1st Women’s Series Event.
